Table grape
The biggest producers of table grapes are China, Turkey and Italy. These and other Northern Hemisphere countries account for nearly 70% of all table grape production. China uses virtually all of the 3.8 million tonnes of table grapes it produces. Turkey and Italy are major exports to largely European countries.
Southern Hemisphere producers such as Chile, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa and Australia, are increasingly important exporters. Chile, for example, now exports around 60% of its one million tonne crop.
